Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle is a hit comedy/thriller starring Dwayne Johnson (a.k.a. The Rock), Kevin Hart, Karen Gillan, and Jack Black. I personally thought this movie has several funny scenes and Kevin Hart happens to be my favorite comedian, so I had to choose one of his newer, most popular movies. The film is based on four high schoolers who get sucked into a video game and must survive the game to get out. They are dropped into the middle of the jungle with three lives, and their mission is to return the stolen jewel to a statue, all while being chased by Van Pelt who controls all Jumanji's animals. The clip begins after they have found Nick Jonas, who plays the role of a 20 year old that disappeared from their home town and hasn't been seen since. When they find him they quickly realize he only has one live so they have to be extremely cautious. They are hijacking a run down helicopter to get away from Van Pelt's men, and Jonas hops into the pilot seat, but as soon as they take off something breaks and they start descending fast. They end up soaring through a tight gorge but a pack of rhinos are stampeding towards them and to think that was their only problem, the gorge is coming to an end and theres a rock wall right ahead of them. Emotions running high, Dwayne Johnson climbs out the side of the helicopter and puts the broken piece back together. As the rhinos are getting closer and closer by the second they gain altitude and they're safe. Then Hart says, "Guys, I dropped the jewel." Everyone starts freaking out and he begins to explain that he thought he had to throw up, but it slipped out his backpack. As Black cries out, "we need the freaking jewel", Hart replies, "I know, that's the crazy part cause I knew we needed it". The Relief Theory represents this scene accurately because the clip is very tense and Kevin Harts attitude and expressions relieve the tension for a few seconds so the audience can laugh. Monro states, "The relief may only be temporary". In this case the scene is very tense, and nerve raking, funny, and then back to business when they have to turn around and go back into the gorge with the angry rhinos to retrieve the jewel.
